Annual Service of Re-Dedication 2008

The Annual Church service again took place at Croston Parish Church on Sunday 8th June 2008. It was a lovely sunny day and there was a good attendance by members of the Division and their families. The Knights assembled outside before marching into the church, to the accompaniment of that rousing hymn “Onward Christian Soldiers”.

As ever, there was a thought-provoking sermon by the Divisional High Prelate. After the service, refreshments in the form of tea or coffee, strawberries and cream, home-made cakes and trifle were served in the newly refurbished old school house adjacent to the church.

Several people sat outside in the courtyard overlooking the River Yarrow, enjoying the sunshine.

If you weren’t able to come this year, you should make a note in your diary for 2009: it is a lovely occasion in a picturesque and historic West Lancashire village.
